Mission
Connecticut Against Violence mission is to Bridge the Cultures of Law Enforcement and the Hip-Hop Community. We intend to bring the real truth about gun Violence and its negative ramifications as well as bring positive alternatives and opportunities to children and young people in the State of Connecticut.

Summary:
For the first time in Bridgeport, Connecticut Against Violence will be hosting a summit for youth to provide the opportunity to explore and mobilize around the intersections between youth violence, economic justice, and other related movements for social justice between current frameworks, and toward building a movement rooted in our schools and community values.

The goal of this convening is to build a stronger movement to end violence for our youth in Bridgeport by forging connections between related movements for social justice and to inform those movements of the implications of their work on survivors of violence and the need to include those voices in their policy and service work.

Lunch and check-in start at 11:30am and our program start at 12:15pm and ends by 3pm. There will be afternoon presentation, followed by a series of concurrent sessions and entertainment events and facilitated break-out sessions.
